SUMMA LINGUAE TECHNOLOGIES NAMES JEFF KENT DIRECTOR OF SOLUTIONS & OPERATIONS IN NORTH AMERICA
In late 2019, Summa Linguae Technologies (SLT), the Poland-based language and technology service provider, launched its business operations in North America with the acquisitions of Globalme and GlobalVision (press release here).
Following the announcement of Shannon Zimmerman as SLT’s Chief Revenue Officer (press release), SLT has made another key addition to its North American leadership team.
Jeff Kent has joined SLT as the Director of Solutions & Operations in North America. In this role, Kent will lead the development and delivery of technical and tactical solutions to serve Summa Linguae’s fast-growing North American client base.
Kent will manage SLT’s operations teams with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing a forward-thinking team, and creating scalability. Kent believes these are the pillars that support not only SLT’s aggressive revenue targets, but to support customers’ growth goals as well.
“I hope to play the role of trusted advisor to help guide our customers through their multilingual data challenges. We want to provide solutions to get our customers more value out of their ever-shrinking localization budgets.”
Kent is a natural fit for this role, coming to SLT with 20+ years of experience in translation services technology and delivery management, having previously worked for Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, Sajan Inc., and Microsoft Corporation.
“I’ve worked at the big companies, but I am a growth-based-company guy at heart. I thrive in an environment where we all strive for a common goal, and then celebrate the thrill of achieving it together.”
Kent’s first big task is to weave together the organization’s existing localization, data services, and managed services solutions into a whole that’s greater than the sum of its parts—a holistic language solution that makes use of innovative crowd curation capabilities.
“The Summa Linguae leadership team is built with a set of industry legends, all of whom are innovative and bold. We aren’t just the same old LSP. Summa is intent on transforming the traditional approach to language and multilingual assets to create win-win scenarios. I can’t wait to get started.”
