Agata Szubstarska, Managing Director for Europe at Summa Linguae Technologies, will serve as Membership Manager for the new Portugal chapter of Women in Localization.
Women in Localization – Portugal
Women in Localization is the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry. Portugal will be W.L. ‘s thirtieth (30th) chapter, an exciting development in their mission to bring their community to members throughout the globe.
“I am over the moon to announce the launch of the Women in Localization Chapter in Portugal,” says Chapter Manager Marta Boer. “I am honored to be among these amazing women who have generously offered their time and experience to support the language community.
“Our team of passionate professionals who believe in the power of language to connect the world also values inclusivity and collective growth as the foundation of our journey.”
Here’s what Agata had to say about the announcement:
“As a vibrant community, Women in Localization connects localization specialists and supports women worldwide. After spending the past 10 years in Portugal, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible professionals in the industry.
The new Portuguese chapter will provide a much-needed space for collaboration and inclusion, bringing our local talent together and fostering growth in the industry. It is a pleasure to embark on this exciting journey and build a strong, supportive community here in Portugal.”
Agata’s addition to the Portugal Chapter comes a few months after Summa Linguae’s Global HR Director, Madhu Sundaramurthy, was named to the Women in Localization board.
